Securities Litigation
Our securities litigation practice is one of our Firm’s core strengths. We represent both individual and institutional investors who have suffered significant financial losses due to a variety of dishonest and illegal practices - from broker investment fraud and misrepresentation actions to retirement plan recovery actions. Our attorneys are exceptionally well-versed in securities law, investment firm practices and complex investment transactions, and are skilled at developing legal strategies that ensure our clients receive the most favorable outcome. Over the years, our Firm has successfully represented thousands of clients in civil court and in FINRA arbitration proceedings nationwide.

We recovered for our WorldCom Clients 100 times more than they would have received if they had participated in the class action suit.
Our securities litigation practice group works closely with its clients to develop creative litigation strategies designed to yield superior recovery results. Unlike most of our peers, we do not simply consolidate our clients into a class action whenever the opportunity presents itself. Rather, we carefully evaluate each client’s case to determine and adopt the litigation strategy which will produce the best results. For example, our Firm represented more than 2,000 WorldCom employees who lost everything in their retirement and employee stock options plans in July 2002. After an in-depth legal analysis of the facts and circumstances of each case, we determined that our clients would receive significantly greater recoveries if their actions were pursued individually. Our attorneys then filed individual claims for each of our WorldCom clients who opted out of the WorldCom Class Action Settlement, filing more individual arbitration cases against Citigroup (the firm that managed WorldCom’s Employee Retirement Funds) than any other plaintiff’s firm in the country. The battle was long and rigorous but when it was over, our securities litigation group was able to recover more than 100 times what our clients would have received under the Class Action Settlement had they remained in the Class instead of allowing us to represent their interests individually.*
